Tisha Shamshir drug case and apology
Overview
Actress Tisha Shamshir, also known as Shanorbiah Shamsir Alam, issued a public apology to producer Datuk Yusof Haslam and his family following her involvement in a drug-related case. The legal matter arose from a police operation titled ‘Op Noda’ conducted by the Kuala Lumpur and Dang Wangi District Police Headquarters.
During her court appearance, Shamshir noted that the controversy had “somewhat tarnished the reputation” of her employer and addressed the cyberbullying she has experienced.
Following the apology, Yusof Haslam, owner of Skop Productions, announced he forgives the actress, stating her apology was sufficient. While expressing hope for her personal improvement, Haslam noted that her future in acting for police procedurals, such as ‘Gerak Khas 2.0’, remains uncertain due to the ethical requirements and image standards of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM).
