Jean-Pierre Fabre, president of the Alliance nationale pour le changement (ANC), has challenged the legitimacy of Faure Gnassingbé’s administration, claiming the government is becoming increasingly isolated.

Fabre cited a January 2026 ruling by the ECOWAS Court of Justice regarding Togo’s 2024 constitutional reform.
