The evening was hosted by Dorota Wellman and Marcin Prokop, whose joint appearance drew attention following speculation regarding Prokop’s absence from ‘Dzień Dobry TVN’. Prokop used the platform to address recent rumors and officially confirm his return to broadcasting. While the opening night featured major Polish stars, it also drew mixed reactions from viewers. Some social media users criticized the vocal performances of certain artists and the inclusion of Piotr Kupicha. Additionally, presenter Izabella Krzan drew attention for making lighthearted remarks comparing Sopot to Opole. The festival also saw discussions regarding legal threats made by Zenek Martyniuk following a parody by Jacek Kawalec. The festival is scheduled to continue through August 27 and includes the Amber Nightingale competition, the ‘Open Stage’ segment, and scheduled performances by Agnieszka Chylińska, Blue Cafe, and Zalewski.
