Toyota has introduced the sixth generation of its RAV4 model line, transitioning the series to exclusively electrified powertrains including hybrid and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) options. The new iteration adopts a more modern design language, featuring ‘Hammerhead’ front-end styling and slimmer LED headlights. Technological upgrades focus on the interior cockpit, which will utilize the new ‘Arene’ software platform. This system enables faster performance, over-the-air updates, and direct integration of services such as Google Maps and Waze into the instrument cluster. Regarding performance, the 2026 RAV4 Hybrid Limited features a fifth-generation hybrid system with all-wheel drive, producing up to 236 horsepower. The plug-in hybrid variant utilizes a 2.5-litre petrol engine paired with a 22.7 kWh lithium-ion battery, offering an electric-only range of approximately 144 km to 154 km depending on configuration. Toyota is expanding the lineup across international markets.
