Later reports detailed a series of fatal accidents within Romania. In Brașov, a 50-year-old driver is under investigation for manslaughter and bodily harm after his vehicle mounted a sidewalk, killing a 25-year-old man and a 34-year-old German citizen, and seriously injuring a third person. Investigators are examining whether the driver suffered a medical emergency, specifically epilepsy; the driver claims he lost consciousness, and reports suggest he had discontinued treatment despite known risks. In Timiș County, a three-car collision on the DN6 resulted in the death of a 62-year-old man and injuries to five others, including a minor.
