On September 3, a serious collision occurred in Gdańsk, Poland, when a PKP Intercity ‘Bachus’ train struck a heavy goods vehicle (HGV) at a level crossing at approximately 1:20 pm CET. The train, traveling from Gdynia to Zielona Góra with approximately 250 passengers on board, struck the truck after it became trapped between descending barriers. The impact was severe enough to split the truck in two, scattering debris across the tracks, though the driver's cabin remained largely intact. CCTV footage captured the moment the truck entered the crossing and became stuck.
