Four individuals sustained minor injuries, including the truck driver, a conductor, and two passengers. The train driver was also hospitalized for treatment. No fatalities were reported. The collision caused significant disruption to rail services on the Pruszcz Gdański–Gdańsk Południowy section, with hundreds of trains delayed and some services diverted or canceled. A special commission and authorities are conducting a full investigation into the circumstances of the accident, specifically regarding whether the barriers descended prematurely or if safety protocols were not followed.
