K/DA releases new EP ahead of Worlds 2026

Overview

Riot Games has launched the ‘FIRESTARTER EP’ from its virtual pop group K/DA, marking the group’s first new music in six years. The EP includes the title track ‘FIRESTARTER’, alongside ‘WATCH ME’, ‘NEVER GOING BACK’, and ‘GIRLS’, which features a collaboration with the virtual artist DJ Sona. The music video for the title track, produced by Fortiche Production, reached over 9.2 million views within its first 24 hours.

To celebrate the release and the upcoming 2026 League of Legends World Championship, Riot Games is conducting global activations. In South Korea, collaborations include pop-up stores and limited-edition merchandise with brands such as Uniqlo, 7-Eleven, and Lotte Department Store. In Brazil, K-pop-themed events, including free dance classes and Halloween parties, are scheduled across five cities, including Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.

K/DA remains confirmed to perform at the Worlds 2026 opening ceremony in New York on November 14. Additionally, Riot Games is releasing limited-edition products for its Riftbound trading card game featuring K/DA and World Championship themes.
