Turkey's Ministry of National Education confirmed that the 2026‑2027 academic year will start open on Monday 14 September 2026, with an orientation week for pre‑school and first‑grade students (7‑11 September) and automated registration via e‑Okul. A summer school program programme in Niğde runs 1 July‑31 August 2026, applications open until 3 July. The Ministry later released and the full calendar: calendar sets the first term from 14 Sept 2026‑25 2026 to 25 Jan 2027, with breaks in mid‑Nov, mid‑November, late Jan‑early Feb January‑early February and early March; the second term begins 8 Feb 2027 and the year ends 25 June 2027 with report‑card distribution. Regional directorates, such as in Sakarya, have conducted carried out on‑site school inspections to verify facilities, textbook delivery and uniform policies.
