Turkey 2026 car price cuts and financing surge
Overview
The July 2026 promotional wave in Turkey deepened as manufacturers expanded both price reductions and credit incentives. On 9 July, Kia set the XCeed 1.0 L at 1,895,000 TL, undercutting the Fiat Egea Sedan’s discounted price of 1,921,900 TL. Across the market, brands such as Toyota, Nissan, Skoda, Opel, Citroën, Dacia, Honda, Hyundai, MG, Renault and others announced discounts that in some cases exceeded 800,000 TL, reshaping price-performance comparisons for buyers.
By 22 July, the focus shifted to financing. Major players—including BMW, Togg, Toyota, Renault, Fiat, Hyundai and Skoda—offered zero-percent loans with credit limits ranging from 100,000 TL to 5 million TL. Skoda’s Kamiq Elite 1.0 TSI was priced at 1,864,200 TL, 126,300 TL below the Fiat Egea Cross at 1,990,500 TL. Additional credit offers were listed by Kia (100,000 TL, 12-month term) and Nissan (600,000 TL, 12-month term), aiming to revive demand and clear inventory.
The price competition continued into August. Renault’s Megane Sedan Touch 1.3 TCe 140 hp was listed at 1.841 million TL, making it 80,900 TL cheaper than the Fiat Egea Sedan Lounge (1.9219 million TL). Other sub-1.9 million TL models—including the Togg T10X, Peugeot e-208 and entry-level offerings from Citroën, Kia, Opel and Fiat—joined the low-price segment, highlighting an ongoing market adjustment.
In early August, pricing updates expanded across multiple segments. In the hatchback category, the Dacia Sandero emerged as the most affordable option at 1,299,000 TL, followed by the SEAT Ibiza and a promotional price for the Renault Clio at 1,715,000 TL. Skoda also updated its offerings, featuring significant promotional pricing for the electric Elroq 60 e-Prestige at 2,481,600 TL (down from a 3,314,900 TL list price), alongside updated pricing for the Kamiq, Scala, Fabia, Karoq, Octavia, and Enyaq series.
