To combat fraud and forgery, the Ministry of Trade is implementing a ‘Safe Payment System’ to manage transactions through a designated technical infrastructure. Although originally expected to launch earlier, the mandatory implementation date has been officially rescheduled to 1 December 2026. This delay is intended to allow for technical improvements and the establishment of necessary infrastructure between banks and land registry offices.
