Turkey's international academic partnership programs
Overview
In late July 2026, Turkey deepened its academic ties with Uzbekistan through a joint conference on economic, administrative and political sciences and a summer‑school program that gave Uzbek architecture students access to Turkish research facilities and cultural sites. A few weeks later, in early August, Turkey extended a similar outreach to Mauritania, welcoming a delegation of Mauritanian university students to a four‑week Turkish language and cultural immersion program in Konya, with visits to historic sites and the capital. Together, the snapshots show Turkey’s ongoing strategy of using conferences, summer schools and diplomatic visits to broaden educational cooperation, promote Turkish language instruction abroad, and build long‑term academic and cultural links with diverse partner nations.
