Overview

Turkish defense companies, including ASELSAN, Baykar, STM, and Roketsan, have conducted successful firing tests for new precision munitions designed for the Bayraktar AKINCI unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV).

Initial testing confirmed the capabilities of the TOLUN P, a 250 lb class bunker-buster designed to penetrate reinforced concrete, and the ALPAGUT smart loitering munition, which features an operational radius of 60 kilometers and autonomous targeting capabilities.

Subsequent live-fire demonstrations at the Konya Karapınar Shooting Test Range showcased the broader TOLUN Deep Strike Ammunition Family to military officials from over 15 countries. These tests included the TOLUN I, featuring a particle-effective warhead; the TOLUN F, which includes software resistant to GPS spoofing; and the TOLUN P, which successfully penetrated a two-story concrete building. The TOLUN family utilizes the SADAK-4T Multiple Carrying Rack to allow for the simultaneous engagement of multiple targets from aerial platforms.
