Snow Man member Sho Iwamoto stars as the ninja Sarutobi Sasuke. Initial cast announcements included Taishi Nakagawa as Kirigakure Saizo, Rikka Ihara as the female ninja Yuri Kamonosuke, and Kairi Jo as Sanada ~~Yukimura. The series will feature filming in Kyoto~~ Daisuke. Subsequent casting updates added Shido Nakamura as the ninja leader Hattori Hanzo, Tsuyoshi Naito as Tokugawa Ieyasu, and ~~utilize~~ Chiaki Kuriyama as Yodo-dono.
