Overview

The tvN spy romance drama ‘100 Days of Lies’ (also referred to as ‘100 Days of Deception’) is scheduled to premiere on October 10 at 9:10 p.m. KST. Set in 1932 Gyeongseong during the Japanese occupation of Korea, the series follows the relationship between a pickpocket turned undercover spy, Lee Ga-gyeong, and an elite interpreter, Kim Tae-woong (also identified as Sato Hideo), who is the adopted son of the Political Affairs Commissioner.

Following initial announcements regarding the cast and plot, tvN released character posters for the 20th-anniversary special project. Recent behind-the-scenes footage released from a poster shoot showcases the chemistry and rapport between lead actors Kim You Jung and Park Jinyoung, capturing the pair interacting playfully on set.

Ahead of the premiere, Park Jinyoung, a member of the group GOT7, shared insights into his role. He described the series as a narrative where character emotions are “intricately connected like a spiderweb within their historical era,” noting that the script emphasized the importance of understanding the past.

The production is directed by Yoo In-sik and written by Ryu Bo-ri, featuring a cast that includes Kim Hyun-joo, Lee Moo-saeng, and Jin Sun-kyu.
