UACJ academic and professional development initiatives
Overview
The Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez (UACJ) has implemented several initiatives to enhance professional education and technical training for its students.
In Nuevo Casas Grandes, the university launched two new diploma programs: ‘Cuidados en enfermería a pacientes en estado crítico’ (Nursing Care for Critically Ill Patients) and ‘Sistema integral de justicia para adolescentes’ (Integral Justice System for Adolescents). These programs are designed to provide specialized knowledge in nursing and the legal framework for adolescent justice.
Additionally, through a partnership with Conafi, UACJ received specialized software licenses to support the Instituto de Ciencias Sociales y Administración (ICSA). The donation includes 400 licenses for CONTPAQi accounting software and 50 licenses for tourism programs. These tools are intended to benefit over 2,800 students across the ICSA and Ciudad Universitaria campuses, aiming to prepare them for the labor market by providing proficiency in industry-standard technology.
