The research also noted that those with lower early-life sugar exposure tended to maintain healthier diets and lower sugar consumption throughout adulthood, suggesting that early childhood taste preferences significantly influence lifelong nutritional choices.
While the research underscores the importance of metabolic health and taste preference formation, some experts note limitations, pointing out that the study relies on birth cohorts rather than direct dietary measurements and that dementia symptoms often manifest decades after initial brain changes.
