Overview

In late July 2026, Yourtravelshop.com Ltd, a long‑standing UK operator of Hajj, Umrah and Ziyarat pilgrimages, entered voluntary liquidation, joining a series of recent travel‑agency failures in Britain. The Ilford‑based firm, which had operated for over three decades, appointed joint liquidators Donald Harper and Andrew Maak of The Insolvency Practice Limited on 21 July. Its collapse follows other recent industry failures, including Strachan Travel Ltd, Groupia Ltd, and Travel Bespoke Ltd.

Within days, two additional firms—Ski Yodl Ltd, a Norwich‑based ski‑holiday provider, and TSTravelsGroup Ltd, a West Yorkshire coach and minibus operator—were also placed into voluntary liquidation. Ski Yodl’s winding‑up order was filed on 22 July, with RCM Advisory Limited’s Richard Cacho appointed as liquidator; the company had no active package bookings and ABTA advised customers with accommodation‑only or credit‑card payments to seek refunds from card issuers or the liquidator. TSTravelsGroup’s liquidation was announced on 29 July, naming Laura Anne Walshe of Keywood Group Limited as liquidator and reporting debts exceeding £250,000.

The trend of instability continued on 18 August 2026, when East Sussex‑based Golf Villa Rentals Ltd ceased trading. The company, which specialized in international golf holiday packages, cancelled all bookings. ABTA confirmed that affected customers are eligible for refunds through financial failure insurance provided by Evolution Insurance Company Ltd. These successive closures underscore widening financial distress across various UK travel sectors in mid‑2026.
