Umamusume: Pretty Derby franchise expansion

Overview

The Japanese multimedia franchise ‘Umamusume: Pretty Derby’ has engaged in various international collaborations and digital updates.

Initial expansions included a themed cosplay race at the Club Hipico de Santiago in Chile and a partnership with the 2026 FIM MotoGP World Championship in Japan. The MotoGP collaboration features character displays and a special appearance by voice actress Tomoyo Takayanagi.

Subsequent developments focused on game content and multimedia reach. Cygames announced new training scenarios, characters, and support cards for the mobile and PC title, including a festival-themed scenario for late October 2026. Additionally, the short anime series ‘Umayuru Fulgeto!’ has begun streaming on YouTube, with an official attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the ‘most speaking characters in a short-form animation series based on a videogame’ scheduled for March 2027.
