By late June 2026 the Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas (UAT) had deepened broadened collaborations with private firms, the state government and its own campuses to create campuses, creating regional industry clusters in automotive‑parts, automotive parts, automation and electromechanical manufacturing. Graduate programmes were aligned with trans‑border cross‑border market needs, and faculty participation in the National System of Researchers helped attract foreign investment, and investment.
