University of Guanajuato academic and institutional reports

The University of Guanajuato continues to report on its strategic and academic developments. In her third annual activity report, Rector General Claudia Susana Gómez López addressed institutional challenges such as rising educational demand, budgetary limitations, and the necessity for faculty training.

To mitigate economic constraints, the university is updating its Institutional Development Plan (PLADI) and focusing on alternative funding through alumni engagement and fundraising. Key areas of progress include the financial viability of the university’s Medical Network, efforts to eradicate gender-based violence, and the implementation of the ColmenIA program. This secure artificial intelligence platform features over 20 generative models and has already enabled 217 teachers to earn micro-credentials in AI for teaching.

In terms of social responsibility, the Colegio de Nivel Medio Superior (CNMS) has formalized a collaboration agreement with the Centro de Rehabilitación e Inclusión Infantil Teletón (CRIT) Guanajuato. Building on a relationship dating back to 2005, this alliance aims to expand student participation in volunteering, social service, and projects focused on inclusion and diversity to benefit both the university community and children receiving care at CRIT.
