University of Porto faculty leadership election
Overview
Amélia Veiga has been elected Director of the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Porto (FPCEUP) for the 2026-2030 term. Having previously served as Sub-Director since November 2022, Veiga intends to establish the institution as a ‘+Ecological Faculty’.
Her administration will be organized around four strategic pillars: education and student well-being, research and citizen science, community and regional relations, and sustainable governance. To monitor these objectives, the faculty plans to conduct an ‘Ecological Audit’ during 2027 and 2028, employing both internal self-assessments and external evaluations to measure the faculty’s contribution to the common good.
