Urban infrastructure and utility development

Urban infrastructure and utility projects continue to progress in Panama and Spain. In Panama, an $80 million project is transforming Vía España through the establishment of exclusive MiBus lanes and the renovation of 17 intersections, while a separate $11.6 million initiative rehabilitates 12 vehicular bridges in the capital region.

In Spain, development efforts have expanded across several municipalities. In Seville, the urban transformation near the Casino de la Exposición continues, and the expansion of the tram-bus line is underway, though it faces a €1.4 million cost increase due to project modifications. Mislata remains focused on its long-standing goal of securing a northern access connection to alleviate congestion.

New utility and environmental projects have also emerged. In Caspe, Biorig is advancing administrative processes for a €35 million biomethane plant to process agricultural waste. Water security efforts include a €3.25 million modernization project in Toro to secure drinking water from the Duero River, alongside new supply network works in Monte de Saro and Villa Inés. Additionally, Salou has completed a drainage canal in the Barenys district, facilitating a new natural walkway, and Cuarte de Huerva has opened a new hydraulic safety park.
