US intensifies pressure and bounties on CJNG leadership

Since the July 23, 2026 sanctions targeting 55 individuals and firms, the United States has broadened its financial and legal offensive against the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG). Earlier actions included OFAC sanctions against a cross-border fuel-theft network, the introduction of the Stop Fueling Cartel Violence Act, and the designation of CJNG as a Foreign Terrorist Organization and Specially Designated Global Terrorist.
