In response to the new duties, India has requested consultations with the United States through the World Trade Organization (WTO).

Industry experts anticipate these measures will impact major production hubs, such as Andhra Pradesh in India, potentially forcing exporters to redirect their focus from the US market toward nations including China, Japan, Malaysia, and Vietnam.
