Uttarakhand youth and technology development initiatives

Overview

Uttarakhand state officials have initiated several programs focused on youth engagement, technological education, and scientific development.

In mid-September, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan held interactions with students to discuss regional development and the importance of technical competence. During these sessions, officials encouraged the younger generation to contribute to the ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ vision and cautioned against substance abuse.

By October, the focus shifted toward formalizing scientific support. At the Frontier Mountain District Child Science Festival, Chief Minister Dhami announced a 1 crore rupee grant to the Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology (UCOST). He also outlined plans to modernize technical education through the integration of Artificial Intelligence in STEM labs, the establishment of ‘Lab on Wheels’ in development blocks, and the creation of science and innovation centers across all districts.
