In Mexico, incidents include the theft of a 1993 Nissan Quest in San Luis Potosí and a gray Renault Duster in Morelia. Regarding the latter, authorities are searching for the Renault Duster, bearing license plates PJF185C, which was stolen during the early hours of a Sunday in the Nueva Chapultepec neighborhood near the intersection of Sidronio Sánchez Pineda street and Boulevard García de León. Investigators are expected to review surveillance footage to track the vehicle.

In response to impound issues, the municipality of Campeche introduced the ‘Liberaciones del Jaguar 2026’ program, which allows owners to retrieve impounded vehicles by waiving fines under specific documentation requirements.

In Riobamba, Ecuador, authorities recovered an abandoned stolen pickup truck on the E35 highway following a citizen alert. The vehicle was located near a gas station, prompting a search operation by Riobamba-Chambo District agents. The truck has been placed under chain of custody for investigation as authorities work to identify those responsible.
