Venezuela public service infrastructure projects
Overview
Venezuelan authorities have undertaken various infrastructure rehabilitation projects across the states of Apure and Falcón. In Apure, the Ministry of Water and Hidroven completed the rehabilitation of the ‘San Juan de Payara’ water treatment plant to ensure a safe supply of potable water.
In Falcón, efforts have focused on the Los Taques municipality. Initial works included maintenance of the water distribution system in the Cerro Norte sector, involving pipe welding and cleaning to benefit local families. This has since expanded into an integrated public services program in the Amuay and Villa Marina areas. This broader initiative, led by Governor Víctor Clark and Mayor María Arcaya, encompasses repairs to the Cerro Norte aqueduct, telecommunications maintenance, electricity installation, and road paving. Plans are also underway to install 200 meters of new piping to provide water to more than 6,000 residents in Villa Marina.
