Venezuela tourism promotion and Italy connectivity
Overview
Venezuela is actively pursuing international tourism growth and increased connectivity with Italy. During the 63rd TTG Travel Experience in Rimini, a Venezuelan delegation led by Tourism Minister Daniella Cabello engaged with travel agencies, airlines, and hotel chains to position national destinations globally.
A key outcome of these efforts is a memorandum of understanding signed with ITA Airways. This agreement aims to establish three weekly flights between Caracas and Rome, starting March 30, 2027, to improve cultural exchange and travel frequency.
Building on this momentum, Venezuela has formally proposed to host the 30th edition of the Borsa Mediterranea del Turismo (BMT) in 2027. To support these initiatives, the Ministry of Tourism is also promoting domestic natural assets, such as Chorro El Indio National Park, to encourage nature-based tourism and economic development.
