During the same period, trainer Saffie Joseph Jr. won the Princess Rooney (G3) with Kerry’s Kiss, a victory that qualified the horse for the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint.

By early October, Leonel Reyes Ramos continued his strong performance, recording a double victory to reach 20 wins in the Sunshine Meet and maintaining his lead in the standings.
