Venice Film Festival celebrity appearances

The 83rd Venice Film Festival has featured various appearances and recognitions for Italian cinema figures.

Early in the festival, notable moments included actress Valeria Golino presenting the film ‘Nessun dolore’, the debut of Gaia Merlonghi in the Orizzonti section, and the appearance of actors Benedetta Porcaroli and Riccardo Scamarcio. Later developments highlighted actress Emanuela Fanelli, who used prosthetic makeup to simulate aging for the promotional effort of the mockumentary series ‘Peccato’. This transformation, designed to make her appear approximately 20 to 23 years older, supports the series set in the year 2049. Directed by Valerio Vestoso and produced with HBO Max and Rai Cinema, the six-episode series follows a fictionalized version of Fanelli as a 63-year-old former actress living in isolation. The project aims to explore themes such as aging, beauty standards, and the fear of professional failure.

Additionally, Elisabetta Gregoraci was honored with the ‘Woman of the Year’ award from Diva e Donna magazine. The festival continues to showcase various works, including ‘Naza’ and ‘Scherzetto’, while remaining a major hub for fashion and celebrity presence.
