Vertiv NVIDIA liquid cooling certification
Overview
Vertiv has achieved NVIDIA certification for its 2.3-megawatt CoolChip liquid cooling distribution unit, receiving the ‘NVIDIA DSX Ready’ designation. This marks the first time a coolant distribution unit of this type has earned this status under the NVIDIA program.
The certified liquid-to-liquid unit is designed to manage temperature and flow for high-density computing hardware, supporting both direct-to-chip cooling and rear-door heat exchanger setups. The certification is intended to assist builders of AI factories in identifying infrastructure that meets the specific requirements of the NVIDIA DSX AI Factory Platform.
Vertiv’s Chief Product and Technology Officer, Scott Armul, stated that as AI workloads increase rack density, decisions regarding compute, power, and cooling must be approached through a more integrated method for data center infrastructure.
