Vespa expansion in South and Southeast Asia
Overview
Vespa has initiated efforts to expand its 150cc scooter presence in South and Southeast Asia. In Nepal, Delta Autocorp Pvt. Ltd. scheduled the launch of a new 150cc model in Kathmandu for mid-October 2026 to strengthen the brand’s premium market position.
In Indonesia, PT Piaggio Indonesia introduced the Vespa S 150, a model featuring a 150cc i-Get engine and a more sporty design than the Vespa LX. To optimize technical efficiencies and factory capacity, the company expanded its local assembly operations at the Jababeka Industrial Estate in Cikarang, West Java, to include the Vespa S on the same production line as the LX.
