Vice-President C P Radhakrishnan has undertaken a series of official visits across various Indian regions. In early August, the Vice-President conducted a two-day visit to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. During this trip, he paid tribute to freedom fighters at the Cellular Jail National Memorial and visited the cell of Veer Savarkar, whom he characterized as a “unique and fearless revolutionary.” His itinerary also included participating in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign and visiting Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Island. Following this, Radhakrishnan scheduled a two-day visit subsequently traveled to Tamil Nadu for on August 16 and 17. This trip focuses on 17 for a series of academic and literary engagements, including attending convocations at engagements. During the 22nd convocation of the SRM Institute of Science and Technology Technology, he urged graduates to adopt a “Nation First – Rashtra Pratham” principle and emphasized the importance of strategic technologies such as AI, quantum computing, and biotechnology. Addressing students, he also expressed concern regarding a recent student murder in Coimbatore and administered an anti-drug pledge, urging youth to shun substance abuse. His itinerary included attending the 11th convocation of the Central University of Tamil Nadu, as well as Nadu and releasing the book “Echoes of a Nationalist Mind,” a compilation of writings by the late R.
