Vietnam Digital Trust Alliance and KOL regulation

Overview

The KOL Summit 2025 in Hanoi established the Digital Trust Alliance (DTA) to address the need for responsibility among Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) regarding their speech, image, and actions in the digital environment. Lieutenant General Le Xuan Minh of the Ministry of Public Security emphasized that influencers shape social perception and can promote Vietnamese values.

Following the summit, the DTA has moved toward promoting KOLs as “digital ambassadors” to foster a safe and healthy online environment. The initiative is expanding through the creation of local Digital Trust Clubs, with plans for a second national conference to feature a network of 34 local clubs to support constructive influencer impact.
