Vietnam is implementing various environmental and maritime protection strategies focused on long-term sustainability. The government has outlined a national blue carbon roadmap through 2030, which prioritizes policy governance, ecosystem restoration, and the establishment of technical standards to facilitate investment and resource mobilization. Complementing these national frameworks, regional and organizational initiatives are underway to protect local ecosystems. Launched by the Vietnam Coast Guard Region 3 in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Red Cross and the Ho Chi Minh City Association for the Protection of Nature and Environment, the initiative aims to protect maritime sovereignty, preserve marine ~~ecosystems~~ ecosystems, and support ~~fishermen through 2030, with the Coast Guard focusing on enforcing maritime law~~ fishermen.
