Vietnam green transport and logistics transition

Overview

Efforts to decarbonize Vietnam’s logistics and transport sectors have progressed through new industry partnerships focused on electrification and infrastructure.

In late August 2026, the Vietnam Green Logistics Alliance was formed in Ho Chi Minh City by GOZO, Kim Long Motor, VTTC Logistics, and Ahamove. The alliance seeks to integrate electric vehicles, warehousing, and technology to facilitate a transition toward greener operations, particularly as Ho Chi Minh City prepares to pilot a Low Emission Zone in July 2027.

Following this, TC Group and Vietnam Green Energy Infrastructure JSC (VGX) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop green transport infrastructure. This partnership focuses on building a nationwide network of charging stations and energy solutions to ensure technical compatibility between electric vehicles and charging systems, aiming to address infrastructure bottlenecks in the country’s transition to clean energy.
