Vietnam infrastructure and cultural development

Vietnam is undertaking various infrastructure development projects focused on regional connectivity and local community facilities.

In Central Vietnam and the Central Highlands, efforts are centered on integrating forest, sea, plains, and urban areas through improved road, sea, rail, and air networks. While investments in the North-South expressway and upgrades to airports in Da Nang, Pleiku, and Phu Cat have improved connectivity, officials noted that bottlenecks remain in inter-regional transport. Experts are advocating for a network-based approach to better connect the highlands with coastal areas and international border gates.

Simultaneously, investments are being directed toward cultural infrastructure in specific provinces. In Yen Bai, construction has begun on four community cultural houses to provide spaces for artistic and sporting activities. In Bac Ninh, the Van Mieu Park project, costing over 690 billion VND, is nearing completion to coincide with the province’s transition to a centrally-governed city.
