Vietnam international academic and scientific cooperation

Overview

Vietnamese institutions are actively expanding international partnerships in science, technology, and higher education.

In Hungary, officials from the Vietnamese Embassy and the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE) discussed increasing collaboration in biotechnology, smart agriculture, artificial intelligence, and sustainable aquaculture. The discussions focused on technology transfer and training programs to support Vietnam’s digital transformation and climate-resilient crop development.

Concurrently, Vietnamese universities are pursuing strategic missions across Asia and Eurasia. The University of Transport and Communications (UTH) engaged with the Russian University of Transport to discuss smart transportation systems, logistics, and the use of unmanned aerial vehicles in infrastructure monitoring. Meanwhile, the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH) expanded its research ties in China, focusing on biotechnology and life sciences, and in Japan through engagements with Hiroshima University.
