Vietnam student mental health and digital safety forums

Educational and social forums have been organized across Vietnam to address student mental health, digital safety, and child protection.

In Hanoi, the ‘Dieu Em Muon Noi 2026’ forum, themed ‘Digital Vaccine for Children,’ brought together students, parents, and experts to discuss psychological support and the risks of digital spaces. The event highlighted the pressures of social media and noted Ministry of Education and Training estimates that approximately 21.7% of children and adolescents face mental health issues during the 2025-2026 school year.

Subsequent efforts expanded to other regions. In Lao Cai Province, a forum focused on the ‘digital era,’ addressing risks such as cyberbullying, online fraud, and data privacy. Meanwhile, in Hue City, the ‘Accompanying Children’ conference focused on supporting students in difficult circumstances through collaboration between educators, parents, psychologists, and local police to improve personalized educational measures and law compliance.
