Vietnam used cooking oil collection partnership

Overview

FatHopes Energy and PetroVietnam Oil Corporation (PVOIL) have formed a strategic partnership to create Vietnam’s first nationwide used cooking oil (UCO) collection ecosystem. The initiative seeks to convert UCO from households, restaurants, and industrial sites into certified feedstock for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and other biofuels.

The project will utilize FatHopes Energy’s Waste Recycling Management System (WRMS) to provide digital traceability and verification to meet international sustainability and ESG standards. PVOIL will leverage its existing infrastructure, including approximately 1,000 petrol stations and logistics capabilities, to support the collection process. Implementation is scheduled to begin in Ho Chi Minh City before expanding across the country.
