Vietnamese artists observed the traditional Stage Ancestor Anniversary (Giỗ Tổ nghiệp sân khấu) on September 22. Ceremonies were held across the country, including in Gia Lai, where the Gia Lai Traditional Art Theater performed incense offerings and music to honor predecessors and preserve arts like Hat Boi and Bai Choi.

In Ho Chi Minh City, a significant ceremony took place at an ancestral temple in Long Phước, established by artist Hoài Linh. The event featured lion dances, palanquin processions, and performances by various celebrities, including Trấn Thành, Cẩm Ly, and Mạc Văn Khoa. Hoài Linh presided over the rituals and performed alongside his adopted son, Hoài Lâm.

Singer Chế Linh, visiting Vietnam for the second time this year, also attended the ceremony at Hoài Linh’s temple in District 9. Chế Linh participated in the music and traditional performances, met with Hoài Linh’s mother, and interacted with fans and fellow artists.
