Villa Vie Residences announced that its second residential cruise ship, Legacy, will join the fleet in early 2029. Legacy will be the former Holland America Line vessel Veendam, refitted to offer larger cabins, expanded dining, and upgraded wellness facilities. The company is offering an early sale of 24 residences, allowing current Odyssey owners to transfer to Legacy with a lower maintenance fee. The announcement builds on the success of Odyssey, which launched in 2024 and has sold more than ~~85 %~~ 85% of its cabins. A week later, Villa Vie confirmed that Legacy will be part of a broader plan to grow the fleet to three ships. In August 2026, the Odyssey made a historic overnight stay in Nha Trang Bay, Vietnam, carrying nearly 300 international passengers. This marked the first time a five-star cruise ship stayed overnight in the bay for tourism purposes, excluding weather-related stays. The extended visit, which included transfers to the Ana Marina International Marina, is viewed as a step toward a “home-porting” model for Khanh Hoa province, potentially boosting local tourism revenue through increased use of onshore services.
