Violence in Lomas de Zamora following abuse allegations

Overview

In Lomas de Zamora, Argentina, a 34-year-old man named Fabián Alberto Sosa was killed by the relatives of a 14-year-old girl following allegations of kidnapping and sexual abuse.

The incident occurred in the Santa Catalina neighborhood after the girl’s family located her at Sosa’s residence, where she had reportedly been held captive and threatened with a firearm. During the rescue attempt, the girl’s 18-year-old brother allegedly attacked Sosa with a knife. Sosa died shortly after arriving at Hospital Allende in Ingeniero Budge. Following the confrontation, the group also set fire to the suspect’s residence.

Prosecutor Ignacio Torrigino is investigating the abuse allegations and the subsequent killing. While the relatives have been identified, no immediate arrests have been made. Sosa reportedly had a prior criminal record involving sexual offenses.
