Violence incidents in Italy

Various incidents of violence have been reported across different regions of Italy. In mid-October, reports emerged from Pinerolo involving a student with a disability being burned by a classmate, leading to the perpetrator’s expulsion and suspensions for students who filmed the event. In Villasanta, a mother reported her son was targeted in a group assault by approximately twenty teenagers. Additionally, in Mirandola, a man faced a hearing following the murder and decapitation of an elderly couple in a farmhouse.

By late October, further violence was reported in Benevento, where a young woman was assaulted on Corso Garibaldi, causing her to strike a vending machine. In Modica, a 40-year-old man was hospitalized with a fractured jaw after sustaining injuries while attempting to defend a neighbor from an attack.

On October 23, additional reports of violence and armed robbery emerged. In Vittuone, a 19-year-old man was arrested for aggravated robbery after threatening a bar owner with a knife. In Rubiera, a 38-year-old man was reported for illegal possession of a knife and became agitated, breaking a bottle and threatening self-harm during police intervention. In Lucera, a 37-year-old man was hospitalized with serious chest injuries following a shooting; authorities have detained a suspect, identified as the victim’s uncle, investigating the incident as a potential attempted murder linked to a family dispute. Furthermore, a 19-year-old in Turin remains in critical condition following a shooting during a brawl in a nightlife district.
