In October 2026, Mexican authorities reported several violent incidents and disappearances across multiple states. In Puebla, Bryan Alexandro ‘N’ has been placed in pretrial detention for the feminicide of 24-year-old María Fernanda ‘N’, a former student of the Universidad De Las Américas Puebla (UDLAP). Following an investigation by the Puebla State Attorney General's Office (FGE), a judge ordered detention after an arrest warrant was executed on October 7 in San Bernardino Tlaxcalancingo. Authorities allege the suspect, who was the victim’s partner, caused her death by asphyxiation strangulation following a physical altercation at their shared residence in San Andrés Cholula. Cholula on October 3. The suspect will remain in custody at the San Miguel prison during a four-month period for complementary investigation. In Coahuila, Martín ‘N’ was arrested for the homicide of 21-year-old Abel Bernardo Castillo Peña. The victim’s body was located in a construction site in San Buenaventura; investigators believe he may have been lured to the location via a digital application. Other reported incidents include the recovery of the body of 21-year-old university student Joan Francisco Díaz Rodríguez from the Pastita River in Guanajuato, following his disappearance on September 29. In Guerrero, the State Attorney General's Office has offered a reward of 1.5 million pesos for information regarding seven farmers missing since September 24 in Ajuchitlán del Progreso. Families have identified five of the individuals in a video showing them being interrogated by men in camouflage, though human rights defenders have raised concerns regarding the video’s authenticity and potential coercion.
