VIVANT drama series expansion and broadcast updates
Overview
The Japanese drama series ‘VIVANT’ is expanding its content through a side story and a second season. TBS announced that ‘Chingis—VIVANT THE ORIGIN STORY—’, a four-part special exploring the backstory of the Republic of Balka police officer Chingis, would stream exclusively on U-NEXT starting September 20.
As the franchise progresses, the second season of the main series has been confirmed to feature returning cast members such as Masato Sakai, Hiroshi Abe, Fumi Nikaido, Kazunari Ninomiya, and Tomomi Isaka. While the main series broadcast schedule includes a skip on September 27, with episode 19 scheduled for October 4, the ‘Chingis’ side story continues to provide narrative depth, including character origins involving Nogon Beki and Batraka.
