Vocational and technical training initiatives in Misiones
Overview
Educational and professional development programs have been introduced in Misiones to support local employment and industrial growth. Initially, the Partido Agrario y Social (PAyS), in collaboration with provincial deputy Cristian Castro, launched the Escuela de Oficios. This initiative provides 16 free virtual courses via an asynchronous digital platform to facilitate professional training for young people and adults.
Following this, Governor Hugo Passalacqua introduced further measures to enhance technical training. Through Decree No. 2164, the province established the ‘Técnicos en Acción’ Provincial Internship Program, which offers technical secondary school students two-month internships in both public and private sectors. Additionally, the provincial government and the National University of Misiones (UNaM) launched specialized university diplomas in Furniture Design and Creation, and Food Development and Innovation, aimed at adding value to regional raw materials.
