Volkswagen continues to expand its SUV and utility offerings globally. In Europe, the company launched the Tiguan Edition 20 to commemorate the model’s 20th anniversary. In Mexico, the T-Cross (marketed as the Taigun) received a facelift featuring a larger front air intake, slimmer headlights, a central LED bar, and new 17-inch alloy wheels. Mechanically, the Mexican Taigun utilizes a 1.0 turbo engine paired with an eight-speed Aisin automatic transmission. In Brazil, the company is updating its SUV lineup. The Tera compact crossover will receive mechanical upgrades for the 2027 model year, transitioning from the 170 TSI engine to a more powerful 200 TSI engine delivering up to 128 cv and 20.4 kgfm of torque. This update also includes replacing the six-speed automatic transmission with an eight-speed unit.
