In the South Sound, significant thunderstorm activity was expected, with Tacoma facing wind gusts up to 28 mph. The Seattle area anticipated scattered showers and isolated thunder, with temperatures cooling to the mid to upper 60s. Conditions were forecasted to dry out heading into the Labor Day weekend.
